Julie Ficks is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Julie clerked for the Honorable Darren T. DiBiasi, P.J.Ch. at the New Jersey Superior Court, Bergen County, Chancery Division.

Julie earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. There, she served as an Executive Acquisitions Editor on the Pace Law Review, a Research Assistant, and a Dean’s Scholar in Constitutional Law and Torts.

While in law school, Julie was a Law Clerk at an Employment Law firm in New York. She assisted with workplace investigations as an independent, third-party investigator, and ensured that client employment policies complied with legal standards. Julie also interned at a pharmaceutical company and worked closely with the Employment and Litigation departments.

Julie holds a M.A. in English from the City College of New York and a B.A. in Literature from SUNY Purchase, where she was a recipient of the Michael O’Loughlin Award for Excellence in Literary Studies. She worked in book publishing before becoming an attorney.
