Cole Schotz P.C. is pleased to announce that seven attorneys have been elevated to members of the firm, effective January 1, 2023. The new members include Anthony De Leo, Samantha B. Epstein, Jullee Kim, Marissa A. Mastroianni, Emily Park, James R. Perkins and Andrew J. Roth-Moore, who are located across the firm’s New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Texas offices.

Anthony De Leo is a member in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice group, based in the firm’s New York City office. Anthony has represented a variety of chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, and secured lenders in complex corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation matters. Since joining Cole Schotz, Anthony has represented official creditors’ committees in the Purdue Pharma L.P., Mallinckrodt plc, AAC Holdings, Inc., L’Occitane Inc., and Town Sports International, LLC bankruptcy cases.  Anthony received his J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Samantha B. Epstein is a member in the Corporate Transactions and Real Estate practice groups, based in the firm’s New York City office. Samantha’s practice centers on representing clients in merger and acquisition transactions, debt and equity financing transactions, joint ventures, and general business matters. She has substantial experience in the private equity space, representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies in a range of transactions. Her practice also includes a focus on real estate finance, sports and entertainment representations, and cannabis law. She is a member in the firm’s Sports & Entertainment and Cannabis industry groups. Samantha received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.

Jullee Kim is a member in the Environmental practice group based in the firm’s New York City office. Jullee’s practice focuses primarily on complex transactional and regulatory matters involving commercial and industrial properties. Jullee counsels clients on navigating pre-acquisition environmental due diligence to post-closing remediation and compliance matters under federal and state environmental laws. Additionally, Jullee provides support to the firm’s Employment practice group on OSHA-related matters and Litigation practice group on environmental cost recovery matters. Jullee received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her LL.M. from Pace University School of Law. 

Marissa A. Mastroianni is a member in the Employment, Litigation, and Cannabis practice groups, based in the firm’s Hackensack, New Jersey office. She counsels employers regarding the ever-evolving employment law landscape and offers practical advice that incorporates business operations and risk management considerations. In addition to participating in day-to-day discussions pertaining to personnel decisions, employee leave and accommodation requests, and employee complaints, as well as preparing employment documents, Marissa litigates a broad spectrum of employment litigation matters before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration tribunals. Marissa received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Emily Park is a member in the Litigation practice group based in the firm’s Hackensack, New Jersey office. Emily provides effective and business-minded solutions to individual clients, closely held companies and multinational corporations on a range of high-stakes and sophisticated matters. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, business disputes, employment law matters, and trademark disputes. Emily is routinely appointed by the courts to serve as guardian ad litem in probate and Chancery court proceedings. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Pennsylvania.

James R. Perkins is a member in the Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups, based in the firm’s Dallas, Texas office. James’ practice focuses primarily on representing patent owners in complex patent litigation in Federal courts across the nation. James has helped win favorable outcomes for his clients against some of the largest companies in the world, including numerous Fortune 100 companies. He also has experience in matters involving antitrust, false advertising under the Lanham Act, unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, the False Claims Act, and construction litigation, among others. James received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Andrew J. Roth-Moore is a member in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring and Litigation practice groups, based in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. His practice involves representing debtors, lenders, creditors’ committees, and officers and directors and focuses on negotiating and litigating complex transactions and legal disputes. He advises clients in a wide array of industries – most notably, retail, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, oil and gas, automotive, telecom, and travel – navigating through all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including section 363 sales, plan confirmations, contract negotiations, and claims resolutions. Andrew received his J.D. from University of Denver College of Law and his LL.M from St. John’s University School of Law and clerked for the Honorable Laurie Silverstein.
