Cole Schotz Expands New York Real Estate Practice With Arrival of Emanuel Tsourounis II
Cole Schotz P.C. is pleased to announce Emanuel Tsourounis II has joined the firm’s New York office as a member of its nationally recognized Real Estate practice.
Mr. Tsourounis is a seasoned transactional attorney with over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry representing lenders, developers, real estate investment funds, real estate investment trusts, and other institutional clients. His practice involves real estate assets consisting of multifamily residential, office, retail, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
“Emanuel will play a key role in complementing the firm’s already strong capabilities advising clients on complex real estate transactions,” said Leo Leyva, co-chair of the Litigation and Real Estate departments, as well as the Real Estate Special Opportunities Group at Cole Schotz. “His extensive experience will help us enhance the full range of practice area expertise we can offer our clients in the real estate market.”
Mr. Tsourounis has experience in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions including advising on the origination, servicing, and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans, bridge loans, revolving credit facilities, and preferred equity investments and related secondary market transactions, as well as negotiating joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, ground leases, and development-related agreements.

Mr. Tsourounis joins the firm from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. He received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from Cornell University, with distinction in all subjects. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, in the State of New York and the District of Columbia, where he has also previously practiced.
