She helps individuals navigate the complexities of estate planning, allowing her clients to achieve their objectives while minimizing gift, estate and generation-skipping tax consequences. Raquel’s ability to connect on a personal level allows her to craft tailored legal strategies that align with her clients’ values and promote a peace of mind.
In addition to drafting basic estate planning documents, including revocable trusts, wills, health care documents and powers of attorney, Raquel handles estate administration, entity formation and asset protection. She also prepares a multitude of sophisticated wealth preservation vehicles, including spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs), spousal lifetime access non-grantor trusts (SLANTs) and domestic asset protection trusts (DAPTs).
Raquel assists with residency planning, advising those looking to change their domicile to Florida and provides efficient solutions to minimize income taxation in high tax jurisdictions. Additionally, she works on federal, state and local tax controversy matters helping individuals or business entities obtain favorable outcomes while avoiding the nuisance of litigation.
