She has extensive experience with court interpretation of complex instruments, fiduciary accountings, sensitive family dynamics, estate and gift tax planning, estate tax apportionment, and dispute resolution among fiduciaries and beneficiaries. She routinely engages with federal and state tax authorities on behalf of her clients, managing estate and gift tax filings and audit matters before the IRS, New York, and New Jersey.

An experienced lecturer and published author on estate and trust topics, Tishya is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bar Associations, the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, and Women Lawyers in Bergen County. She previously served on the board of KEEN New York, a nonprofit providing free one-on-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities.
