Mark Tsukerman is a member in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring department, whose practice focuses primarily on the representation of debtors, trustees, creditors and creditors’ committees in bankruptcy and in out-of-court restructurings.

Experience

Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Mark served as law clerk to the Honorable Stuart M. Bernstein, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Mark is active in numerous industry organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Southern District of New York chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Education

Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from Touro Law School, where he received Merit and Achievement scholarships. While in law school, he served as Research Editor to the Touro Law Review and interned for the Honorable Arthur D. Spatt, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York.

After law school, Mark earned an LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Bankruptcy Degree from St. John’s University School of Law.

Mark was recognized as a New York Metro Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2017-2020.
