Experience
Catherine represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes disputes across New Jersey State, New York State, and Federal court, with a focus on delivering practical, results-oriented advocacy tailored to her clients’ needs. Her practice spans shareholder and business divorce actions, trusts and estates litigation, commercial real estate matters, employment disputes, commercial fraud and unfair business practice claims, and white collar criminal defense.
Catherine also serves on the firm’s STARS Committee, Pro Bono Committee, Associate Liaison Committee, and Associate Core Interviewing Group.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
Catherine’s recent representative experience includes:
- Serving as second-chair counsel in a jury trial on behalf of a business owner against its former insurance broker for claims of negligent failure to procure requested coverage. At trial, Catherine successfully argued multiple motions in limine, conducted the direct examination of a key witness, and helped secure a favorable settlement after multiple days of proceedings.
- Successfully arguing and defeating a motion to dismiss in a highly contested shareholder dispute among New Jersey licensed cannabis dispensary owners.
- Obtaining the dismissal of an action challenging the scope of an equitable mortgage obtained in favor of a lender for a large commercial development project, which was affirmed by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Representing a large defense contractor in a trade secret misappropriation action involving a New York City bridge contract.
- Successful defense of a third-party motion to vacate a stay of a parallel AAA arbitration, preserving the client’s Fifth Amendment protections pending resolution of the criminal action.

EDUCATION
Catherine graduated summa cum laude with both her J.D. and her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Pace University, as part of the University’s accelerated combined B.A. and J.D. program.
During law school, Catherine participated in the Federal Judicial Honors Program, was a full Merit Scholarship Award recipient, and served as a Representative for the Student Bar Association and Women’s Association of Law Students.
Catherine also interned at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office, and the Richmond County Supreme Court. Catherine spent her last semester of law school interning full time at Newman Ferrara LLP, where she worked on various civil rights matters, including actions under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.Catherine was a Summer Associate at Cole Schotz in 2022.
