Cole Schotz Represents United Site Services, the Largest Provider of Portable Sanitation Services and Complementary Site Solutions in the Country, in Chapter 11 Proceedings
Cole Schotz is proud to serve as chapter 11 co-counsel to United Site Services (USS), the largest provider of portable sanitation services and complementary site solutions in the United States, in its chapter 11 restructuring filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. United Site Services, a nationwide leader with approximately 350,000 portable sanitation units serving tens of thousands of customers (including major events, construction projects, and government agencies), has initiated a prepackaged chapter 11 plan aimed at eliminating approximately $2.4 billion in debt and strengthening its balance sheet for the future.
The pre-arranged restructuring support agreement, backed by a majority of USS’s lenders, is designed to reduce the company’s debt burden, support ongoing operations, and position the business for long-term success. This filing underscores the value of chapter 11 as a powerful mechanism to realign capital structures, preserve operations, and protect jobs while enabling companies to continue serving their customers. The Cole Schotz team includes Michael D. Sirota, Felice R. Yudkin, and Daniel J. Harris.
