Cole Schotz P.C. is pleased to announce that nine attorneys have been elevated to members of the firm, effective January 1, 2020. The new members include Heather L. Demirjian, Jenny R. Flom, Jacob S. Frumkin, Nicholas C. Guerra, Rachel A. Mongiello, Danielle M. Pasquariello, Robyn A. Pellegrino, Jill B. Richardson and Mark Tsukerman, and are located across the firm’s New Jersey, New York and Florida offices.

Heather L. Demirjian is a member of the Environmental Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. Ms. Demirjian uses her broad range of experience in state and federal environmental law to craft creative solutions to her clients’ complex environmental needs. She represents and counsels a wide array of clients, including real estate developers, banking institutions, commercial, industrial and manufacturing operations, data centers, oil and gas companies, municipal utilities, and government entities. She counsels clients with an eye toward finding ways to use the requirements of environmental law to support her clients’ strategic objectives and to minimize the impacts of those requirements on their business needs. Ms. Demirjian earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and her B.A. from Rutgers University.

Jenny R. Flom is a member of the Litigation Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. Ms. Flom’s practice focuses on probate litigation, including guardianship actions, special needs trust litigation, and estate and trust litigation. She represents clients in obtaining guardianship over their incapacitated loved ones. Ms. Flom also represents clients in petitioning state courts to reform and establish special needs trusts. She also regularly works with clients and their matrimonial counsel in connection with divorce proceedings regarding issues related to special needs planning and guardianship. Ms. Flom earned her J.D. from New England Law | Boston and her B.A. from Rutgers University.

Jacob S. Frumkin is a member of the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. He represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and other parties-in-interest in various aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Frumkin earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Nicholas C. Guerra is a member of the Tax, Trusts and Estates Department and is located in the firm’s Florida office. Mr. Guerra represents high net worth individuals, families and business owners, creating business succession and estate transfer plans designed to preserve wealth, minimize taxation and enhance family relationships. To accomplish these goals, Mr. Guerra assists clients in the establishment of protective entity structures, charitable trusts, dynasty trusts, life insurance trusts, foreign and domestic asset protection trusts, and leveraged gifting transactions. Mr. Guerra earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting.

Rachel A. Mongiello is a member of the Litigation Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. Her practice and experience includes commercial litigation, antitrust, and white collar criminal defense. Ms. Mongiello’s practice focuses on investigating, litigating, and defending claims of fraud and collusion on both the domestic and international scale. Rachel’s experience includes assisting with government investigations into potential antitrust violations of a client’s competitor, evaluating and defending against civil and criminal fraud and antitrust claims in the pharmaceutical and financial sectors, and pursuing, and defending against, derivative claims of minority shareholders. Ms. Mongiello earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from Providence College.

Danielle M. Pasquariello is a member of the Real Estate Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. She focuses her practice on complex real estate transactions, including construction and permanent financing, acquisitions and dispositions, ground, retail, industrial and office leasing and a wide variety of other real estate matters. Ms. Pasquariello earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. from Binghamton University.

Robyn A. Pellegrino is a member of the Corporate, Finance & Business Transactions Department, as well as in the Real Estate Special Opportunities Group, and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. Ms. Pellegrino represents purchasers and sellers in asset and stock sale transactions, as well as borrowers and lenders in asset and real estate based credit facilities, debt acquisitions and divestitures and debt restructurings. In addition, Ms. Pellegrino counsels closely held and family-owned businesses with respect to a variety of corporate governance issues, including entity formations, operating agreements and shareholder agreements. She also assists clients with the preparation of employment agreements and non-disclosure and non-competition agreements. Ms. Pellegrino also counsels franchisees in connection with a variety of issues, including the renewal and sale of their franchises. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from Seton Hall University.

Jill B. Richardson is a member of the Environmental Department and is located in the firm’s New York office. Her practice involves all aspects of transactional environmental law, with a focus on evaluating the environmental liability faced by buyers, sellers, tenants, and commercial lenders during business and real estate transactions. She also guides clients through the process of achieving regulatory compliance while they undertake complex cleanups at industrial, commercial, and residential properties. Ms. Richardson earned her J.D. from Pace University School of Law and her B.A. from Michigan State University.

Mark Tsukerman is a member of the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring department and is located in the firm’s New York office. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of debtors, trustees, creditors and creditors’ committees in bankruptcy and in out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Tsukerman earned his J.D. from Touro Law School and his B.A. from Stony Brook University.
