Alexa Reed is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Departments with experience representing clients in high-stakes patent litigation matters.

Experience

Alexa helps clients on both sides of the “v” protect their intellectual property rights. With her background in software marketing, Alexa has a knack for distilling complex technical concepts into easily digestible arguments. Alexa brings these skills to bear across the litigation process, from discovery disputes, to drafting pleadings and argumentative motions, to preparing witnesses for trial. Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Alexa served on two patent trial teams (D. Del. and N.D. Ill.) representing Fortune 500 clients.

Alexa graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was awarded the 2021 Thomas C. Banks Award for Outstanding Jessup International Moot Court Team Member.

Passions

Outside her legal practice, Alexa enjoys travelling, reading mystery novels, and exploring the DC area. Some Saturdays, you can even find her teaching tourists about 19th-century medicinal practices at Alexandria’s Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum!
