Cole Schotz Successfully Represents Major League Baseball (MLB) in Connection with the Relocation of its MLB Network and Production Facility
Cole Schotz successfully represented Major League Baseball (MLB) in connection with the relocation of its MLB Network and production facility from Secaucus, NJ, to Elmwood Park, NJ. The Cole Schotz team provided critical legal guidance on all zoning-related matters and entitlements to facilitate MLB’s transition to its new state-of-the-art facility. Working closely with the Borough of Elmwood Park’s Mayor, the zoning board, and local officials, the deal team helped navigate the complex regulatory landscape to ensure a seamless approval process.
“We are proud to have played a key role in assisting Major League Baseball with this significant move,” said Jonathan Goodelman, who led this representation alongside Leo Leyva and Yasaman Mahdi. “The collaboration between MLB, Elmwood Park leadership, and local agencies was instrumental in bringing this project to fruition, and we look forward to seeing MLB Network thrive in its new home.”
The relocation marks an important milestone for MLB, as the new facility will enhance production capabilities and provide a cutting-edge environment for content creation. The move also represents a valuable economic and cultural addition to Elmwood Park, bringing new opportunities to the borough.
