Experience
Utibe represents businesses, executives and other stakeholders in commercial disputes. Clients often seek her counsel in high-stakes situations, such as when a deal goes wrong, when a trusted insider becomes an adversary, when someone is accused of breaching a duty of loyalty, or when money needs to be recovered.
Beyond advocating for clients when disputes arise, Utibe makes sure they understand the business implications of litigation. She works closely with them to develop strategies that align with their commercial priorities, giving practical, straightforward guidance throughout the life of a matter.
Her experience spans trials, arbitrations and mediations, from a single contested hearing to large-scale proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. She also has experience in emerging technologies, where the law is still developing, including a novel dispute against a cryptocurrency exchange following a hacking incident and more than fifty arbitrations arising from a nationwide cybersecurity incident.
