Mary Margaret Clark is an associate in the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates Department.
EXPERIENCE
She focuses her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and wealth transfer strategies for individuals and families. Mary Margaret advises high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate and tax planning matters, including the preparation of complex wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments, trust and estate administration, business succession planning, and the transfer of closely held business interests.
Before returning to private practice, Mary Margaret worked for a large regional financial institution, where she evaluated regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance across a range of banking operations. Her background in finance, auditing, and compliance provides valuable perspective when advising clients on complex estate planning and business succession matters.
EDUCATION
Mary Margaret earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she received the CALI Award in State and Local Taxation and served on the Florida Tax Review. She received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she received the Scholar of Merit Award in Real Property and Economic Analysis of the Law. She also earned her M.B.A. from Samford University and holds a B.S., cum laude, in Finance from Samford University.
