Julia is an associate in the Tax, Trust & Estates department.
EXPERIENCE
Julia advises individuals and families in all aspects of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies. She works closely with clients to help them preserve and transfer wealth across generations, always with a thoughtful and personalized approach.
She also advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries on probate and trust administration, helping to navigate the complexities of estate taxes, fiduciary duties, and asset distributions. Julia brings a well-rounded perspective to her practice. She understands how to draft proactively to avoid future disputes and is equipped to handle contentious matters when necessary.
In addition to general estate planning, Julia has experience providing specialized planning for artists and art collectors, addressing unique challenges such as art valuation, succession planning and tax efficient transfer strategies. Julia also has experience in tax planning for nonprofits.
Prior to becoming an attorney, she studied at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was an Editor on the Comparative Law Review and President of the Art Law Society. She earned her B.A. in History and Government with a minor in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
