Elazar is an Associate in the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department at Cole Schotz.
Elazar focuses his practice on corporate restructurings and the representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, and other stakeholders in chapter 11 proceedings. He brings a creative, solutions-oriented approach to maximizing value for both debtors and creditors in complex restructuring matters, including bankruptcy litigation and investigations into financial distress, misconduct, and estate recovery.
In addition to his restructuring practice, Elazar has significant experience representing clients in high-stakes fraud, fiduciary duty, and corporate governance disputes before the Delaware Court of Chancery and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Elazar earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and holds a B.A. from the Talmudic College of South Florida. During law school, he served as a law clerk for the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Matthew H. Solomson of the United States Court of Federal Claims.
