EXPERIENCE
Alex has a wide range of experience representing clients in complex commercial real estate transactions including the purchase, sale, financing, leasing and development of commercial real estate projects.
Specifically, Alex focuses his practice representing public, private and institutional real estate investors, lenders, borrowers and private equity funds in complex real estate financing transactions at various levels of the capital and debt stack, including mortgage and mezzanine financings, revolving credit and term loan facilities relating to a variety of real estate classes, including office, retail, mixed-used, multifamily residential, self-storage and hospitality. Alex has also represented clients in secondary market transactions, including loan purchases, loan sales, syndications and loan-on-loan transactions. Alex has closed over $4 billion in real estate finance transactions nationwide.

Real Estate Financing
- Represented lender in a syndicated $970 million portfolio loan that included over ninety real estate assets in over twenty states.
- Represented borrower in a $575 million portfolio loan with mortgage and mezzanine components that included over thirty real estate assets in fourteen states.
- Represented lender in a syndicated $272 million portfolio loan that included over fifty real estate assets in six states.
- Represented lender in a $250 million construction loan for the development of a luxury multifamily project in Boca Raton, Florida that featured the takeover of an existing project, a bridge loan component and subordinate debt.
- Represented borrower in a $156 million refinance with mortgage and mezzanine components for three self-storage facilities located in New York.
- Represented lender in a $135 million construction loan for the development of a condominium project by a prestigious luxury hotel brand in Tampa, Florida.
- Represented lender in a $120 million construction loan for the development of a 117,000-square-foot data center located in California for leasing to corporate tenants that included Amazon and Google.
- Represented lender in a $118 million loan for the acquisition of three hotels located across the state of Florida.
- Represented lender in a $100 million revolving credit facility secured by a multi-use shopping center in Massachusetts.
- Represented lender in an $88 million construction loan for the development of two Class-A warehouse and distribution facilities totaling over 990,000 square feet in Stuart, Florida.
- Represented borrower in a $67 million construction loan for the development of a luxury condominium project in Miami Beach, Florida.
Real Estate Acquisitions and Dispositions
- Represented seller in bankruptcy in connection with the sale of a portfolio of real estate assets including over fifty properties in nine states.
- Represented seller in the $83 million joint sale of the Hampton Inn & Suites and AC Hotels in midtown Miami, Florida.
- Represented buyer in $28 million acquisition of the Bentley Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.
- Represented buyer in the $27 million acquisition of a vacant lot relating to the Miami Worldcenter project in downtown Miami, Florida.
- Represented buyer in a $30 million takeover acquisition of a condominium association in Miami Beach, Florida.
- Represented seller in the $56 million sale of River Oaks Marina & Tower in Miami, Florida.
Real Estate Leasing
- Represented landlords and tenants in the leasing and development of commercial real estate to institutional tenants such as Cheesecake Factory, Wawa, Verizon Wireless, Starbucks and Dunkin’.
