NYC Real Estate Week In Review
Cole Schotz and Fried Frank are among the law firms that landed work on the largest New York City real estate deals that became public last week, with a $238 million Manhattan trade leading the way.
Cole Schotz PC and Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP worked on the week’s largest deal, while RC Law LLP and Holland & Knight LLP also helped with one of the biggest transactions.
Seven deeds above $20 million hit public records.
The largest deal of the week saw private equity shop Sentry Realty pay nearly $238.2 million for an office and retail property at 1441 Broadway in Manhattan from Charney Management LLC.
Leo Leyva at Cole Schotz guided Sentry on the matter, while Charney had counsel from Jonathan Mechanic, Nathaniel Lifschitz, Richard Wolfe, Elias Ayoub and Michael Morck II. The parties went under contract on June 12 and closed on July 27.
