Members on the Move: May 2025

As the home of Maryland’s legal profession, the Maryland State Bar Association celebrates the accomplishments of all of its members. MSBA is proud to highlight the recent achievements, career moves, and impact members make within the legal profession. Please join us in congratulating the following members on their recent moves.

Cole Schotz announced that it has formally opened a Washington, D.C. office with the arrival of former Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Phil Selden. The D.C. office launch follows the recent additions of member Jeffrey Saltman and associate Alexa Reed, who joined the firm in March and will work alongside Phil in D.C.

Mr. Selden joins as a member of the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense & Government Investigations and Litigation departments. He has deep government experience having also served in the roles as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and the District of Columbia.
