Cole Schotz Plants DC Flag, Hires Acting Maryland US Atty
Mid-sized firm Cole Schotz has opened the firm’s seventh overall office with this month’s launch of a new location in Washington, D.C. The firm brought in former U.S. Attorney Phil Selden to lead the new office, located at 1050 Connecticut Ave. in Washington. Selden spent 3½ years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, joining as first assistant and most recently serving as acting U.S. attorney. He has also worked for the Justice Department as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York and the District of Columbia, the firm said.
Selden is joined in the D.C. office by member Jeffrey Saltman and associate Alexa Reed. Saltman and Reed moved their IP-focused practices to Cole Schotz from Fisch Sigler LLP in February and March, respectively. Cole Schotz’s footprint also includes offices in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Texas and Florida.
