New Chapter 11 Filing – Independent Pet Partners Holdings LLC
On February 5, 2023, Independent Pet Partners Holdings LLC of Woodbury, MN filed a petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (Case No. 23-10153) along with several affiliates. The Debtors operate stores and an e-commerce platform selling pet food and treats and provide services including grooming, self-wash, pet parent education and veterinary services under the brands Chuck and Don’s, Kriser’s Natural Pet, Loyal Companion, and Natural Pawz. The Debtors report $100 million to $500 million in both assets and liabilities. According to the First Day Declaration, the Debtors intend to run a 363 sale process for 66 go-forward stores with their prepetition lender group as stalking horse.
