Additional Delaware Chapter 11 Filings Related to Abeinsa Holding Inc. (Case No. 16-10790)

On April 6, 2016, eight additional affiliates of Abeinsa Holding Inc. filed chapter 11 petitions before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  These entities include Abener Teyma Hugoton General Partnership, Abengoa US Holding, LLC, Abengoa US, LLC, Abengoa US Operations, LLC, Abengoa Bioenergy Biomass of Kansas, LLC, Abengoa Bioenergy Hybrid of Kansas, LLC, Abengoa Bioenergy Technology Holding, LLC and Abengoa Bioenergy New Technologies, LLC.  These additional debtors will seek to have their cases jointly administered with those of the thirteen debtors that filed chapter 11 petitions on March 29, 2016, which are being jointly administered under lead case number 16-10790 (In re Abeinsa Holding Inc.).  Among the debtors most recently filed, Abengoa Bioenergy Biomass of Kansas, LLC is the subject of an involuntary chapter 7 pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas, case number 16-10446.  The petitions for certain of the new debtors are provided through the links above.

Additionally, 24 foreign affiliates are the subject of chapter 15 petitions, which are being jointly administered under lead case number 16-10754 (In re Abengoa, S.A.) and six affiliates have filed voluntary chapter 11 petitions before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, which are being jointly administered under lead case number 16-41161 (In re Abengoa Bioenergy US Holding, LLC).
