Nino G. Cammalleri has returned to Cole Schotz’s New Jersey office after more than a decade at Seritage Growth Properties, where he gained extensive in-house experience managing real estate matters across the country.

Reflecting on his decision to return to private practice, Cammalleri said he believed he could “best maximize my value with the skill set and expertise I acquired” while developing, redeveloping and repurposing properties at scale.

Cammalleri also pointed to his firsthand experience working with Cole Schotz as a client during his time at Seritage. “I kept coming back to Cole Schotz,” he said, adding that the firm “always did a great job on all of our deals.”

Despite the firm’s significant growth since his first tenure, Cammalleri said Cole Schotz has maintained the qualities that originally distinguished it. He described the firm as a “large, well-respected national firm” that continues to preserve “the character and values of a smaller regional firm.”

His familiarity with the attorneys across the firm also factored into his decision to return. “There’s a level of trust here,” Cammalleri said, noting that he already knows the real estate, corporate and litigation attorneys who will work alongside him and his clients.

Looking ahead, Cammalleri said, “I want to build a national real estate practice and this firm puts me in the best position to do that.”
