Marcus Nemeth is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Transactions Department, based in the New York office.
EXPERIENCE
Marcus represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing arrangements, and general corporate matters. His practice encompasses advising clients on corporate governance, entity formation, and strategic investments. Prior to joining the firm, Marcus gained experience at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he focused on similar corporate transactional work.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
Marcus has played a prominent role in the following representations:
- Represented B. Riley Financial, Inc. in the $118 million divestiture of its advisory services business to a private equity buyer.
- Represented New York Empire Baseball, a youth sports organization, in its acquisition by a private equity firm.
- Represented H.I.G. Infrastructure, an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, in the acquisition of Best Trash, a leading municipal solid waste platform serving the Greater Houston Area.*
- Represented Partners Group in its sales of multiple portfolio companies, including BWW Holdings LLC, a Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee, and Pacific Bells, a Taco Bell franchisee with more than 250 restaurants across nine states.*
- Represented New Mountain Capital and its portfolio company HealthComp in its combination with Virgin Pulse, a leading digital health, wellbeing, and navigation company.*
- Represented SkyKnight Capital L.P. in a multi-asset continuation vehicle investment.*
- Represented Elliott Management in its $1.4 billion equity investment in CenterPoint Energy Inc., a publicly traded Houston-based energy company.*
- Represented The Vistria Group in its acquisition of Mission Healthcare, a provider of home health and hospice services.*
- Represented leading venture capital firms, including Baillie Gifford and DST Global, in numerous investments in technology, healthcare, and life sciences companies at various stages of growth. *
