January 16, 2020Attorneys: Scott J. Topolski and Marissa A. Mastroianni
Update on ADA Cases – Defending Website Accessibility Lawsuits with the proliferation of lawsuits alleging that owners and operators of websites violated Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for failure to make their websites accessible to persons who are
either visually impaired or legally blind, businesses should be wary of any legal obligations they have to maintain accessible websites.
Title III of the ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities by places of public accommodation. Historically, Title III cases have focused on physical or access-related issues with respect to places of accommodation, but in the last several years the focus has shifted to accessibility of websites. This webinar will examine the current state of the law on these issues and provide attendees with practical advice on website compliance with the ADA.
