Cole Schotz Elects Three Attorneys to Membership

Hackensack, New Jersey, January 2, 2014-- Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard, P.A. (Cole Schotz) has elected Leo Matarazzo, Steven M. Saraisky and Wylie D. Van Ness to Members of the  firm, effective Jan. 1, 2014. All three are based in the New Jersey office.

Leo Matarazzo is part of the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates Department. He represents individuals, families and closely held businesses in all aspects of tax and estate planning, business planning and estate administration. He has represented clients ranging from young couples with children needing appropriate wills to high-net-worth individuals and families requiring sophisticated estate planning to minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes for multiple generations. Mr. Matarazzo has an LL.M in taxation from New York University School of Law and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark.

Steven M. Saraisky, who works in the Tax, Trusts & Estates Department, regularly advises clients regarding their estate planning and the gift, estate and generation-skipping tax considerations of their plans. Frequently, this involves complex estate planning with wills, insurance trusts and implementing sophisticated estate planning techniques. He also advises many international clients regarding the U.S. aspects of their planning. A frequent lecturer and author on estate and tax planning, estate administration, business succession planning and related issues, Mr. Saraisky earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago.

Wylie D. Van Ness serves in the Corporate, Finance and Business Transactions Department and represents companies and entrepreneurs in connection with mergers and acquisitions in both stock and asset transactions, financing and securities, entity formation and general corporate governance, business succession planning and employment arrangements. She has also represented clients in connection with intellectual property work, particularly with filing trademarks in connection with a business and licensing intellectual property. Ms. Van Ness, who is actively involved with pro bono work, has a J.D. from Boston University.
