Tax Associate with 5 plus years Transactional Tax, International Tax, and T&E experience to join our NJ or NY office. LLM in Taxation and NJ and/or NY Bar required.

STAFF POSITIONS


HELP DESK TECHNICIAN - New Jersey Office:


Help Desk Technician to provide hardware and software technical assistance to the Firm’s users. Troubleshooting, support and provide general assistance to senior technical staff. Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop environment, Computer desktop and laptop hardware repair and knowledge, Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016 with particularly strong working knowledge of Outlook and Word, Adobe Acrobat, Smartphones and all mobile devices. Legal specific software such Filesite, Worksite, Workshare, etc preferred. Applicant needs to have strong interpersonal skills as well as good aptitude to learn new tasks quickly. Law firm or professional service firm background a plus.


LEGAL TECHNOLOGY TRAINER - New Jersey Office:

Highly motivated individual to join our New Jersey Office to develop and deliver a comprehensive training program to attorneys and staff throughout the Firm. This highly visible role seeks to ensure that Cole Schotz attorneys and staff optimize technology and receive superior training and support in the use of commercial and custom applications, software and technology tools and devices (“Technology”). The Legal Technology Trainer’s goal is to ensure that all Firm personnel use Technology according to best practices while maximizing individual and team productivity. The successful Legal Technology Trainer will view his/her role as equal parts educator and coach.

Responsibilities include:

• Understand effective Technology integration and enable attorneys, paraprofessionals, administrators and staff to effectively integrate Technology into their daily practices throughout our six offices.
• Conduct new hire training and training Firm-supported software via instructor-led classroom training, webinars, video conferencing and one-on-one coaching.
• Partner with subject matter experts in the development and implementation of customized Technology training strategies/solutions.
• Plan, design, develop, implement and maintain: 1) full end-user documentation, 2) quick reference guides, 3) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and 4) additional instructional or informative documents as required.
• Assist end-users by helping resolve problems that require an advanced skill set, i.e., problems that cannot be handled by the Firm’s Word Processing and/or Help Desk personnel.
• Research and provide proactive recommendations to supervisors regarding new Technology and/or strategies that align with the Firm’s goals and objectives.

Superior communication and knowledge of legal software applications (Microsoft Office 2010 suite (and newer) and Windows 7, 10 , Payne Forms / Numbering Assistant or compatible package, Workshare, etc.) are a must. Experience in planning courses, training users and keeping abreast of current legal software packages. Strong experience in software installation procedures. Candidates must be highly organized, possess the ability to be self-sufficient and have excellent verbal and written skills. BA/BS degree preferred. 3-5+ years of experience in end-user support / training in a legal environment.

USER SUPPORT MANAGER- New Jersey Office:

User Support Manager to join our New Jersey Office. Duties include managing the User Support service desk activities including; User Support staff work schedules and on-call rotations; responsible for ensuring positive and proactive support of the Firm’s technology through the delivery of exceptional technical services to all Firm employees. Provide effective management of all user support issues through proper support ticketing, document all change management requests and procedures; manage end user hardware and software and inventory management; oversee the delivery of seamless audio visual conferencing services; develop, oversee and direct the user support staff and ensure proper and adequate training needs are met.; manage software and hardware issue resolution and escalation to other technical professionals. Strong knowledge of legal applications such as iManage FileSite, Microsoft Office, Workshare, Payne Templates, Elite Enterprise, Fast Tax or similar applications required. Minimum 5 years in managing a team of user support personnel, preferably in a Law Firm environment.
