Barry Schwartz practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, asset-based lending, and finance.
Mr. Schwartz’s practice has a strong emphasis in transactional work, including the formation, sale and acquisition of companies in stock and asset transactions and venture capital investment through debt and equity offerings. He frequently represents borrowers in asset-based and secured lending transactions. A significant portion of Mr. Schwartz’s practice is devoted to clients (both start-up and established) in the beverage industry who rely on him for corporate advice. Mr. Schwartz also represents medical groups and physicians in the acquisition and sale of professional practices and in corporate matters. Clients frequently call upon Mr. Schwartz to draft shareholder, employment and distribution agreements, as well as for trademark and software licensing agreements.

- the sale of a nutraceutical manufacturing business located in Florida
- the negotiation of a $50 million revolving credit facility with Wachovia Bank for a major New York/New Jersey retailer
- an equity investment in a cheese manufacturer located in Vermont
- the sale of Fuze Beverage, LLC to The Coca-Cola Company
