Barry Schwartz practices in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and finance.
Mr. Schwartz's practice has a strong emphasis in transactional work, including the formation, sale and acquisition of companies in stock and asset transactions, and venture capital investments through debt and equity offerings. He represents lenders and borrowers in asset-based and secured lending transactions, and does general corporate counseling, including business succession planning. In addition, Mr. Schwartz is active in transactions involving distressed companies.
Representative Matters
Recent transactions in which Mr. Schwartz has acted as lead counsel include:
- $63 million asset-based credit facility with Wachovia Bank, representing the borrower
- $20 million asset-based credit facility with PNC Bank, representing the borrower
- $8.5 million asset-based credit facility with JP Morgan Chase Bank, representing the borrower
- $4.3 million mortgage refinance with JP Morgan Chase Bank, representing the borrower $6.8 million equity investment in a start-up beverage company, representing the company
