Donald Ottaunick chairs the firm's personal injury practice.  His practice focuses on personal injury matters including complex medical negligence and general liability.

Upon graduation from law school, he served as law secretary to the Honorable Sidney H. Reiss. Thereafter, Mr. Ottaunick served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and was New York trial counsel for a major mutual insurance company before joining the firm in 1988.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Ottaunick has handled a wide range of litigation matters in the areas of insurance coverage, premises liability, premises security, automobile negligence, toxic torts, workers' compensation and environmental litigation.  He is also a member of the firm's Construction Law practice, with experience in surety law and construction litigation matters.

Mr. Ottaunick has lectured on subjects including tort reform, no-fault and trial techniques involving expert testimony and the use of demonstrative evidence.

Mr. Ottaunick has been awarded an AV rating for his professionalism and the quality of his legal work from Martindale-Hubbell, the premier directory of legal professionals.

He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
