Michael Jones's practice is national in scope and consists of leasing, acquisitions, sales and financing of commercial properties, particularly retail, industrial and office properties.  His practice covers a wide range of transactional work, with an emphasis on commercial leasing, and includes the review, negotiation and drafting of leases, contracts, reciprocal easement agreements, development agreements, loan documents, commission agreements, and related documents, and performing due diligence for transactions involving shopping centers, industrial buildings and office buildings, including portfolio acquisitions and development projects.  His clients include national and regional "big box" and "junior anchor" retailers, supermarkets, shopping center developers, regional mall developers, real estate investment trusts, owners of industrial and office properties, national and regional retailers with surplus real estate, and commercial real estate brokers.

Before attending law school, Mr. Jones was a commercial real estate broker.

Noteworthy

Mr. Jones has been awarded an AV rating for his professionalism and the quality of his legal work from Martindale-Hubbell, the premier directory of legal professionals.  He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the prestigious Best Lawyers in America® in Real Estate Law and Best Lawyers in the New York Area  in 2006 through 2012.  He was selected for inclusion in Real Estate Weekly's 2008 All Stars and New Jersey Super Lawyers® in 2005 and 2007 through 2011.

Mr. Jones has also been included in 201 Magazine's list of Top Lawyers in Bergen County for 2011.
