Richard Abramson, chairman of the firm's Real Estate Department, has been a member of the firm since 1989.  His practice is national in scope and encompasses a broad range of transactions, with particular emphasis on acquisitions, financings and commercial leasing.  His practice includes acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing and construction of commercial, industrial and residential properties for an array of clients, including REITs, real estate investment funds and pensions.  He has counseled clients in connection with numerous high-profile transactions, including recent transactions such as the purchase of Toys "R" Us by a consortium of investors; the purchase of Broadway Mall, located in Hicksville, NY; the purchase of Bergen Mall, located in Paramus, NJ; and the purchase of Metro Corporate Campus, a 271,600 square foot office building located in Iselin, NJ. 

Mr. Abramson is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Florida, and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Abramson has been awarded an AV rating for his professionalism and the quality of his legal work from Martindale-Hubbell, the premier directory of legal professionals.  He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the prestigious Best Lawyers in America in Real Estate Law and as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in Real Estate Transactions.  Mr. Abramson was named to Real Estate Weekly magazine's list of 2008 "All Stars" and was profiled in Real Estate New Jersey's 2009 "Meet the Lawyers" issue.
