Gerald Gline represents public and privately-held corporate debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditor committees in all phases of insolvency practice.

He is currently representing Beth Israel Hospital Association of Passaic d/b/a PBI Regional Medical Center as debtor-in-possession in its Chapter 11 case.   PBI recently completed the sale of its hospital facility to neighboring St. Mary’s Hospital.   He is also representing the Bond Insurer who is the largest secured and unsecured creditor in the Bayonne Medical Center Chapter 11 case.  He represented United Healthcare Systems, Inc. as the debtor-in-possession in one of the largest health care Chapter 11 cases in the history of New Jersey.  Mr. Gline also represented TNS Nursing Homes, Inc. and its affiliates, five nursing homes, in their Chapter 11 reorganization. He represented the Official Unsecured Creditors Committee of PHP Healthcare Corporation, a national medical management company, in its Chapter 11 reorganization proceeding in Delaware and currently is liquidating agent for PHP Healthcare, LLC, the entity created under PHP's confirmed Chapter 11 plan to pursue claims and causes of action and recoveries for creditors. 

He, along with other members of the firm, previously served as special counsel to the New Jersey Commissioner of Insurance as the Rehabilitator of Mutual Benefit Life Insurance in the successful rehabilitation of Mutual Benefit in the largest insurance rehabilitation proceeding ever.

Mr. Gline has lectured and authored materials on the Bankruptcy Code for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), New Jersey State Bar Association and the National Business Institute, and on numerous insolvency-related topics, including health care insolvency, the impact of environmental laws on bankruptcy, bankruptcy and real estate, landlord/tenant issues in bankruptcy, matrimonial law and bankruptcy, contingent claims in bankruptcy and successful creditors' strategies in bankruptcy.  He recently lectured and moderated a panel of experts on the New Bankruptcy Code amendments for ICLE and served on a panel at the New Jersey Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference regarding mass torts and prepackaged Chapter 11 bankruptcies.

Mr. Gline has been awarded an AV rating for his professionalism and the quality of his legal work from Martindale-Hubbell, the premier directory of legal professionals.  He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in the prestigious 2007 Best Lawyers in America in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law and as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in Bankruptcy.
