Michael Yellin is an Associate in Cole Schotz's Litigation Group.  Mr. Yellin's practice emphasizes commercial litigation with a focus on matters involving shareholder/partnership discord, intellectual property issues and commercial transactions.  Mr. Yellin also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Mr. Yellin has also developed substantial experience with litigation in federal court.  During law school he interned for the Honorable Jose L. Linares, United States District Judge and the Honorable Patty Shwartz, United States Magistrate Judge.  Since beginning his practice, Mr. Yellin has successfully represented the interests of his clients in federal actions, including federal appeals, covering a wide range of issues. 

Mr. Yellin's federal practice has been complemented by his graduation from, and membership in, the John J. Lifland Intellectual Property Inn of Court.  Mr. Yellin's intellectual property practice includes the registration and protection of clients' original copyrighted works, as well as their trade names, trademarks and service marks. 

In addition, Mr. Yellin's federal practice also includes experience in education and disability rights law.  He regularly counsels and represents parents and students to ensure that school districts provide appropriate educational services.  Mr. Yellin has successfully represented clients through negotiations with school districts, due process hearings in the Office of Administrative Law, and appeals in federal court. 

Mr. Yellin graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was Student Bar Association President.  During law school, Mr. Yellin was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board, where he received advocacy awards in multiple national competitions.
