Susan Usatine's practice in civil litigation emphasizes complex commercial and probate litigation in the trial and appellate courts. Ms. Usatine has significant experience litigating and advising clients in a broad range of areas, including shareholder and partnership disputes, contract interpretation, will contests, contested guardianships and fiduciary litigation. She has represented domestic and international clients in the technology, apparel, media, public services, automotive, medical, real estate and entertainment industries.  Ms. Usatine has frequently been appointed as counsel by the Superior Court.

Ms. Usatine is active in firm management at Cole Schotz.  She is a member of the Hiring Committee, Chair of the Associate Mentor Committee, and Co-Chair of both the Associate Development and Retention Committee and STARS, the firm's women attorney group.

A former summer associate, Ms. Usatine joined Cole Schotz in 1998 upon graduation from Boston University.

Ms. Usatine was chosen as one of New Jersey Law Journal's 2010 "40 Under 40" and a "Future Star" in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of Benchmark Litigation: The Guide to America's Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys.  In 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2007, she was selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers® Rising Stars in Business Litigation.
