David Steinberger's practice focuses on environmental land use compliance and permitting. Mr. Steinberger has provided advice to clients and helped obtain permits or exemptions under New Jersey’s Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act, Flood Hazard Area Control Act, Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act and various other environmental land use laws. In addition to his environmental land use work, Mr. Steinberger’s practice also involves the environmental aspects of corporate and real estate transactions, including compliance auditing, due diligence investigations and negotiating the environmental provisions of those transactions.
Mr. Steinberger also has experience in environmental enforcement and litigation matters, and general counseling under a wide range of environmental laws. After graduating law school, Mr. Steinberger practiced environmental law in Washington, DC.
Noteworthy
Mr. Steinberger wrote and presented the section "Complying with Environmental and Special Use Regulations" at the November 2004 NBI "Land Use Law Update in New Jersey" seminar.
Mr. Steinberger has been a presenter at two seminar briefings hosted by Cole Schotz, entitled "Real Estate & Commercial Transactions Involving Contaminated Properties."
